Clarifier Systems

Water clarifiers are circular tanks where solid sediments lie at the bottom. These are usually used for the clearance and/or thickening of solid particles or suspended solids from a liquid.

Clarification is the process of eliminating all particles, sediments, oil, natural organic content, and colour from water in order to make it clear. The first step in conventional waste and surface water treatment is clarification.

The clarifier lowers the speed of the water and ensures that the water is spread in all directions uniformly. This also allows for the longest possible setting time, resulting in effective separation of settled particles from water.

Sludge is formed as collected particles progressively migrate down the slope. A scraper bridge is provided to remove the muck. The pure water spills through a launder at the top of the structure.
